In spite of the inclement weather, the Crossroads Community Foundation Youth Action Council and other SVT volunteers assisted with the native plant bird garden expansion at the Turenne Wildlife Habitat in Southborough. This is part of a larger habitat restoration and demonstration project. Funds for the planting were provided by the Crossroads Community Foundation. The Youth Action Council (YAC) brings together a diverse group of youth from several towns in the MetroWest area. YAC train youth on nonprofit organizations, the needs in the community, and how to effectively distribute grant funds to local nonprofits.
