BEASTS OF BURDEN: NEW ENGLAND'S WILD ANIMALS

Date: Wednesday January 28, 2009 7:00-9:00pm, Time: 7:00-9:00pm
Location: Great Meadows, Sudbury
Leader/Speaker: SVT Executive Director Ron McAdow
In this presentation for the Friends of the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge, Ron will show photographs of New England's vertebrate fauna: birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. He will describe how motion-triggered cameras capture images of secretive mammals such as fox, fisher, bobcat, and river otter. Photos will be accompanied by brief readings from essays by Thoreau, Emerson, and others that help us understand how these animals enrich our culture, our imaginations, and our lives. Directions to Great Meadows HQ can be found here.

Fee: Free. Registration not required.
